Turmeric Turmeric
Turmeric paste is used as a quick household antiseptic for minor burns and wounds. Consumption of it is said to help purify blood and to soothe inflammed sinuses. Turmeric boiled with milk and drunk right before going to bed is considered to be the best medicine for an irritating dry cough. Turmeric has recently proved in research studies to prevent development of Alziemer's.
Capsaicin Capsaicin (Chili Powder)
  1. Improves digestion by stimilating stomach secretions
  2. Lowers triglycerides
  3. Laxative effects
  4. Triggers the release of endorphins
  5. Unclogs stuffy noses by irritating mucus membranes
  6. May protect against some forms of cancer

Cumin Cumin
It is prescribed for indigestion, biliousness and flatulent colic. Hot cumin water is excellent for colds and fevers and is made by boiling a teaspoon of roasted seeds in three cups of water.
Cinnamon Cinnamon
Cinnamon infused in warm water is effective in curing the common cold, preventing nervous tension, checking nausea, and stimulating digestion. Cinnamon oil cures gastric debility and is commonly used as an inhalation for colds and sinusitis.
Coriander Coriander
Corriander seeds are said to be a diuretic, anti-bilious, and carminative. It helps lower blood cholesterol. Corriander juice is rich in vitamins A, B and C and in Iron.
Cardamom Cardamom
Cardamon is used to relieve stomach disorders and heartburn. Cardomon tea is a useful remedy for a headache.
Cloves Clove
Clove oil was grandmother's remedy for a toothache and is still used to cure aches and pains. The anaesthetic action of cloves helps numb the digestive system and reduce gastric irritability.
Fenugreek Fenugreek
Fenugreek aids in digestion. Fenugreek seeds are eaten to releive flatulance, diarrhea, chronic cough, and diabeties.
Onion Onion
Onions have diuretic properties. Onion's iron content is easily digested and therefore they are prescribed for anemia. They also help reduce blood cholesterol and their consumption is recommended for people with heart complaints.
Tamarind Tamarind
Tamarind is considered a mild laxative and digestive. It is used to treat bronchial disorders and gargling with tamarind water is recommended for sore throat.
Ginger Ginger
Ginger has been prescribed for flatulence, gout, even paralysis. Ginger added to tea is believed to have aphrodisiac qualities.
Garlic Garlic
Garlic has been used to treat asthma, deafness, bronchial congestion, arteriosclerosis, worms and countless other ailments. Garlic oil capsules can check high cholesterol, aid digestion, or control blood pressure, arthritis, cancerous growths, and whooping cough.
